Services
What we build
Two things happen to a website. It gets built, and then it has to keep working and get found. Both are sold here, and they are priced apart so you can see what each one costs.
Building the site
01
WordPress websites
Four of the five projects in our case studies are WordPress builds. You get a page per service, an editor you can use without ringing us, and a page structure search engines can read.
02
Ecommerce websites
WooCommerce when the store sits inside a wider site, Shopify when the shop is the business. Product pages, checkout, shipping rules and payments, set up and tested against real orders.
03
Custom web design and development
For booking flows, member areas, calculators and integrations, where a standard site cannot do the job. Purpose Bureau is the example on this site: an ESG data platform turned into a B2B website in a month.
04
Website redesign
Rebuilding a site that works badly, without losing the search value the domain already has. Redirects and internal links get planned before anything goes live, not after.
After it launches
05
Website maintenance and support
Updates, backups, security checks and the small content changes that pile up. Quoted per site, because a five-page brochure and a fifty-page store need different amounts of looking after.
06
Search engine optimisation
Sold as two named things rather than a monthly mystery. SEO Launch is a one-off $1,300 on top of a build. Ongoing SEO is $790 a month, for the work that shows up over months rather than weeks.
Choosing
Which one do you actually need
Most agency service pages leave you to work this out yourself. Three questions decide it.
Do you already have a website?
A refresh
Under about four years old, and the problem is the message rather than the machinery. Cheaper and faster than starting again.
A rebuild
The pages load slowly, the platform is abandoned, or every service shares one page. Patching that costs more than replacing it.
Do you want a fixed price, or does the site have to do something unusual?
A package
A set page count, a set number of revision rounds and a set support period, agreed before the work starts. That covers most small business websites.
A custom build
Once a site needs a booking flow, a member area or a connection to software you already run, the page count stops being the thing that decides the price.
Are you selling products?
WooCommerce
Keeps the store inside a WordPress site. Suits a business where the shop is one part of what you do.
Shopify
Carries its own checkout, payments and app market. Suits a business where the shop is the whole thing.
Industries
Industries we have done the specific work for
Four industries have their own page, because in each one the website has to answer something a general business site never asks.
Trades businesses
A tradie site is judged on one thing: whether a person standing in a wet laundry can find your number in under ten seconds.
NDIS providers
Participants, families and support coordinators read the same page for different reasons, and an auditor may read it too.
Dental practices
A new patient checks the fees, the parking and whether you take their health fund before they ring.
Childcare centres
Every enquiry is a parent deciding whether to book a tour. Current fees, current vacancies, one obvious way to ask for a visit.
Packages start at $1,200, no GST added. Three fixed prices, all published, half up front and half at launch.
Case studies
Recent work
Three projects, picked because they are different sizes rather than because they went well.
ESG data and supply chain risk, Sydney
Purpose Bureau
A product most visitors had never met. Research, architecture, design and build ran in four weeks, on a custom WordPress build rather than a purchased theme.
Registered NDIS provider, Kings Park NSW
Blossom Care Disability Services
Seven approved registration groups became seven service pages, and the site ships with a published WCAG 2.2 Level AA test report.
Auto electrical and ECU specialist, Katoomba
Balkan Automotive
Audit, architecture, build and launch in two weeks, on WordPress, chosen on the basis of who has to maintain the site afterwards.
FAQ
Common questions
How much does a website cost with Web Ways Tech?
Between $1,200 and $3,400 for a package build, no GST added. Launch is $1,200 for up to five pages with text you supply, Business is $2,000 for up to ten pages that we write, and Growth is $3,400 where the page count follows the structure. Custom builds are quoted after a call, because the price follows the functionality rather than the page count.
Why are your prices lower than most Sydney agencies?
Because there is no account manager, no sales team and no office rent priced into the quote. The person who scopes your site is the person who builds it. That has a limit worth knowing about: we take a small number of projects at a time, so the answer to “can you start Monday” is sometimes no.
Is SEO included in a website build?
The structural part is, on every build: a page per service, readable headings, clean internal links and a site Google can crawl without tripping over it. The rest is sold separately, at $1,300 once or $790 a month, so you can see what you are paying for. Buying a website does not buy rankings, and nobody honest will promise you a position.
Can you take over a website someone else built?
Usually. WordPress and Shopify sites we can pick up directly. Sites on a builder’s closed platform, where you cannot export the files, are the exception, and in that case the honest answer is a rebuild rather than a takeover.
Do you build on anything other than WordPress?
Shopify for stores, and hand-built pages where a CMS would get in the way. WordPress is the default because it is the one you can run yourself afterwards without a subscription to us.
Who owns the domain, hosting and files after launch?
You do. The domain and the hosting account go in your name, and you get the site files. If you ever move to another studio you take a working website with you and nothing has to be negotiated first.
Ready to talk about your website?
Tell us what the site has to do and roughly when you need it. You will get a straight answer on which of the services above fits, what it costs, and whether we are the right studio for it.
Or ring (02) 8313 5438 during business hours, Sydney time.
Not sure which service you need?
That is what the call is for. Bring the problem, not the solution.
