01 / Who we are
What the studio actually is
Web Ways Tech started with one job: build professional websites for businesses that needed a stronger presence online. After a few years across different industries the brief changed. A website that only looks good does not do the work. It has to help people find the business, understand the offer and take the next step.
So the work now covers design, development, search structure and the commercial thinking behind all three. We build WordPress websites, ecommerce stores, service pages, landing pages and custom functionality, and we build them so the business can keep running them afterwards.
We are in Kogarah, in southern Sydney. Most of our clients are within an hour of the office, and we work with businesses in every state.
The studio is four people. That is not a modest way of saying small, it is the reason the work runs the way it does.

Draws every page before anything gets built, so what you approve is a layout you can still change rather than a finished site you cannot.

Decides what each page is for, which questions it has to answer, and where the wording is doing less work than it looks.

Three fixed prices, and they are on the site before you call. What changes between them is the size of the site, not the care that goes into it.

What people ask before hiring us
How big is the studio, honestly?
Four people, and all four are on this page with their names and faces. No part of the build is passed to another agency or to an offshore team.
Who will I actually be talking to?
Vasilii takes the first call and stays your contact through the build and after launch. When a stage belongs to someone else you get told whose it is, which is the point of the four stages above.
Who owns the website when it is finished?
You do. The domain, the hosting account and the WordPress install are in your name and you get the logins. Nothing is kept on our side as leverage.
Do you write the content, or do I?
From the Standard package up, we write it: one call about how the business works, then a draft from us that you correct. On Starter you supply the text and we structure, edit and place it.
Can I update the site myself afterwards?
That is what WordPress is doing here. Pages are built with the editor the business will actually use, and we walk you through it before handover.
Do you work with businesses outside Sydney?
Yes. Most of the work happens on calls and shared screens, and clients are in several states. Being able to meet in person is a bonus, not the method.
