Dental websites for Australian practices

Dental website design, built to Ahpra rules

Dental website design for Australian dental practices, built for new patient enquiries and checked against all thirteen advertising categories Ahpra publishes. Your practice website is advertising under the National Law, which puts patient reviews, before and after photos and deadline offers under rules most web studios have never read. From $2,000 inc GST, live in two to four weeks.

The practice carries the responsibility

Three things a dental website cannot do

Most website advice assumes you can show what customers say, show before and after photos, and run a limited-time offer. A dental practice can do none of the three the usual way, and the responsibility sits with the practice rather than the designer.

01

Patient reviews about treatment

Under the National Law, advertising must not use testimonials: positive statements about symptoms, diagnosis, treatment or outcome. The line is narrower than most practices assume rather than absolute. Ahpra says comments about customer service or communication style, with no clinical reference, are not testimonials. “The front desk called me back the same day” is a different kind of statement from “my implant healed perfectly”, and the trust block gets built from the first kind.

02

Before and after photos

The guidelines Ahpra and the Dental Board of Australia published for advertising higher risk non-surgical cosmetic procedures took effect on 2 September 2025, and dental veneers are named in the list. If you advertise them, the registration number of the treating dentist has to appear, outcome images need a warning that results vary, and the photos themselves have to be genuine, unedited and matched. Most veneer galleries on Australian practice sites were built before any of that existed. Where a gallery cannot meet the conditions, the section carries plain information about the treatment instead, which is usually the better page anyway.

03

Deadline offers

Ahpra names phrases such as “don’t delay” and “for a limited time only” as capable of being unlawful, and any discount has to publish its terms. Published fees do the same job better. Pricing in advertising has to show the total figure regardless, and almost nobody in the field publishes anything.

$60,000 / $120,000

The maximum penalty for a single advertising offence is $60,000 for an individual and $120,000 for a body corporate, and since July 2024 that applies in every state and territory.

We are not lawyers and this page is not legal advice. What we can do is build the site so it does not carry the patterns the regulator has already named.

The working parts of the website

Dental clinic website design: what’s included

Great dental websites do one thing well. A nervous patient can use them on a phone, in two minutes, without ringing to ask a question the site should have answered. A well-designed dental website is the part of the practice that keeps working while the rooms are closed.

We build websites for dentists across general and family dentistry, orthodontics, paediatric, prosthodontics and implants, cosmetic dentistry, emergency dental and multi-location groups. Groups running referrals, patient portals or booking across several sites usually need custom web design and development rather than a standard build.

Here is what goes into a custom dental website.

  • A page for each of your dental services, written the way patients describe the problem, so searches land on the right page.
  • Practitioner profiles with registration details set out the way the guidelines expect.
  • Appointment booking systems connected to the software you already use. We integrate your existing online booking rather than moving the practice.
  • New patient forms that work on a phone, without a printer.
  • A responsive, mobile-friendly layout that loads fast, because that is where most people first see the practice.
  • A content management system your team can use. We build on WordPress, so changing a price does not require us.
  • Clean page structure and titles, easy to navigate for patients and for search engines.
  • Domain, hosting and files in your name. You own the dental practice’s website outright.

Two to four weeks from start to launch

How a project runs

Two to four weeks from start to launch. Here is what happens in them.

01

You send us the site you have

We run it through the thirteen categories and tell you what is on it, what we would change and what it would cost. That is the $890 check, and it stands on its own if you go no further.

02

We map the treatments

One page per treatment, written the way patients search, plus practitioner profiles and the booking path.

03

You review it

Three rounds of changes are included, and nothing goes live until you have seen it.

04

We check every page before launch

We check against all thirteen categories, and you get the record in writing, dated.

Published pricing · current for 2026

What dental website design costs in Australia

All prices below are current for 2026 and include GST, paid half at the start and half at launch. If we run past the agreed date through our own fault, the final payment drops by 10 per cent for every week late.

Our prices are lower because there is no CBD office in our overheads and no account manager layer between you and the work. The person who builds the site is the person who sets up the search side and runs the thirteen checks. That is the whole explanation.

Already have a website?

The 13-Point Advertising Check is $890

We review up to ten pages and your Google Business Profile, fix what can be fixed without a rebuild, re-check it and give you the written record. If you go on to a build, the $890 is already counted towards it. Most practices already have a site and do not want a new one, and this is the cheapest way to find out whether you need one. If the check says the structure is the problem rather than the wording, that is a website redesign, and we quote it the same way.

Choosing a dental website design company on price alone is how practices end up paying twice. Ask any supplier what they check before a page goes live, and ask to see it written down.

Not sure which one you need?

Describe the site you have and what is bothering you

Most practices are not sure at this point. We will say which of the three fits and why.

Evidence from recent builds

Recent work, and what it shows

Ten years of building websites, run by Vasilii Aldukhov, founder and developer, who works from Kogarah in Sydney and does the build and the search work himself. Four recent projects, and the part of each a dental practice should care about: every service on its own page, one clear next step, and a build measured in weeks rather than months.

PROJECT 01

Blossom Care Disability Services

A registered NDIS provider in western Sydney. We built the site, and the registration behind it can be checked in the NDIS Commission register rather than taken on our word. In August 2026 we ran all twelve pages through our own accessibility method and wrote up what it found, including the parts that reflect on us. Regulated sectors are where we already work, and NDIS website design is the other one.

PROJECT 02

Skiva Technologies

A Brisbane refrigeration contractor whose old site listed six services and pointed all six at the same page. We rebuilt it in two weeks on WordPress and gave each of eight services its own page, with an emergency call path built for a breakdown. A practice running eight treatments off one page has the same problem.

PROJECT 03

Balkan Automotive

An owner-operated workshop in Katoomba. Rebuilt in 14 days, with a separate page for each of its eight services and a phone call one tap away, because the people searching are usually standing next to a car that will not start. Emergency dental works the same way.

PROJECT 04

Smart Call Systems

A business voice product. We designed and built the landing page on WordPress in seven days, around a single action: booking a discovery call. Most practice sites ask a visitor to do four different things at once, and none of them well.

Website-build reviews, not treatment testimonials

Reviews we are allowed to publish

These are business owners reviewing a website build, not patients reviewing treatment. Your practice does not get to publish the second kind, and that difference is the whole of the rule above.

Web Ways Tech built our WordPress site and made the whole thing painless. Easy to deal with, quick with feedback, and they explained things in plain English rather than tech speak. The site looks sharp, works properly on a phone, and it's simple enough for us to manage day to day. Really pleased with how it came out.
Launching an online store seemed complicated, but thanks to Vasilii's work, everything went smoothly. He set up a convenient ordering system, payment, integration with delivery, and even helped with SEO. Now we have a beautiful, functional store that brings stable income. Excellent specialist, I recommend him!
Vasiliy built an amazing e-commerce website for us, and we couldn’t be happier! The site is fast, user-friendly, and optimized for both desktop and mobile users. The checkout process is smooth, and all the integrations work perfectly. Sales have increased since launching, and our customers love the new experience!

I highly recommend it.
Working with Vasilii on my web application was an amazing experience! From the start, he really took the time to understand what I needed and turned my ideas into a sleek, functional, and user-friendly app. The entire process was smooth and stress-free because Vasiliy kept me in the loop and was always open to feedback.

What really impressed me was his attention to detail and how he used the latest technologies to make the app not just work but really stand out. If you’re looking for someone who knows their stuff when it comes to custom web app development, Vasilii is the person to go to. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Highly recommend!

I’m incredibly grateful to Vaso for the amazing work he did on my web application! From the very beginning, he took the time to understand my needs and turned my ideas into a beautifully designed, easy-to-use app. Vaso’s dedication, attention to detail, and passion for what he does really stand out. He kept me updated throughout the entire process, explained everything in simple terms, and was always ready to make adjustments when needed. If you’re looking for someone who truly knows what they’re doing in web application development, Vaso is the person to trust. Highly recommend him!
I turned to this web studio to develop my own website for my company. To be honest, I didn't exactly know what result I wanted in the end.
However, thanks to Vasilii, an amazing design was created that perfectly conveyed the concept of my company. The communication with the web studio was prompt, polite, and responsive, and the staff worked hard. The layouts for the designs and finished website were completed on time! I would also like to mention the convenience of using the new site, as various functions were added that I hadn't even known about!

Many thanks to this company for their high-quality work.

A dated written record before launch

Thirteen checks before your site goes live

Ahpra publishes thirteen categories of advertising requirement. We work through all thirteen on every page we write and give you a written record of what was checked and when. Here they are in full, so you can hold us to them.

01

Accurate and clear

No misleading by omission.

02

Supported by evidence

Every claim can be backed up.

03

Claims about treating conditions

If a treatment is said to help, the page explains how.

04

Risks

Procedures that carry risk say so.

05

Comparisons

None that cannot be supported.

06

Profession, titles and qualifications

“Specialises in” only where specialist registration exists.

07

Pricing

Total price, not the opening figure.

08

Gifts, discounts and inducements

Terms published and easy to find.

09

Testimonials

No patient statements about their treatment or how it turned out.

10

Personal experience anecdotes

No patient journeys presented as what others can expect.

11

Images and before and after photos

Genuine, unedited, clearly tied to the treatment.

12

Regular check-ups

No pushing recall without a clinical reason.

13

Time limited offers

No countdowns, no urgency tied to a health claim.

Working through all thirteen on every page is what professional dental website design looks like in a regulated field.

A promise with a public definition

What happens if we get it wrong

No-charge correction

If we publish a page carrying one of the patterns on the thirteen-point list, we fix it at no charge, whenever you find it.

The promise means something only because the list is public and it is not ours. Ahpra wrote the thirteen categories, so what counts as a miss was settled before we started.

$0 when there is nothing to change

And on the advertising check: if there is nothing to change, you do not pay. Which raises a fair question, since we are the ones deciding what counts as a finding. Same answer: we did not write the thirteen categories, and you can read them before you hire us.

What we cannot promise is how Ahpra would assess your advertising, or that a website alone will deliver results in converting visitors into patients. Nobody can.

Compliance does not create traffic on its own

Dental SEO and attracting new patients

Being compliant and being found are separate problems. Compliance does not bring website traffic on its own.

01 · WORK ON THIS

Relevance

A page for each treatment written the way potential patients search.

02 · CANNOT CHANGE

Distance

The physical distance between the practice and the person searching.

03 · BUILD OVER TIME

Prominence

A filled Google Business Profile, reviews and an established presence elsewhere on the web.

Google ranking for local results turns on relevance, distance and prominence, and prominence is largely how established your online presence is elsewhere on the web. Distance you cannot change. Relevance and prominence come down to the same work: a page for each treatment written the way potential patients search online, a filled Google Business Profile, and reviews asked for without copying them onto your own site.

That is the structure that helps your practice attract new patients, with SEO best practices applied from the first page rather than bolted on later. It is what the SEO Launch tier covers, and the monthly option is built around growing your practice.

A clear fit matters more than a forced sale

Is this dental web design right for you?

A GOOD FIT

You need a site you can own and defend

A good fit if you run a dental practice in Australia and the website has not been looked at in years, if you advertise veneers and have not read the September 2025 rules, if someone told you to take the reviews down and you were not sure they were right, or if you want to own the domain and the files.

NOT A GOOD FIT

You need legal advice or full-service marketing

Not a good fit if you need legal advice on a complaint already made, or if you want marketing run for you. We build dental websites and do search work. We do not write marketing strategies, run dental marketing or digital marketing services, buy targeted ads, manage social accounts or do logo design.

And not a good fit if you want the site live next week, because the checks take the time they take.

Questions dental practices ask

Dental website design FAQs

Not if they refer to clinical care. Ahpra prohibits testimonials, meaning positive statements about symptoms, diagnosis, treatment or outcome. Comments about service or communication style are treated differently. Reviews patients leave on Google can stay where they are, because you are not responsible for what they post there. Copy one onto your own site and it becomes your advertising.

Ours start at $2,000 inc GST for a dental clinic website, $3,300 with dental SEO, and $890 if you only want the existing site reviewed. Australian agencies that publish their dental pricing sit between $5,000 and $15,000.

The address of your current site, the list of treatments you offer, and the registration details of each dentist and specialist. Photos if you have them, and we will tell you which ones can be used. Most practices already have everything we need.

Yes. We work with the booking software already installed, so the front desk does not have to relearn anything.

They changed on 2 September 2025 and they will change again. We write to every dental practice we have built for when they do. On monthly support, the re-check is included.

You do. Domain, hosting and files are in the practice name from the start, and they stay yours if you leave.

Find out where your site stands

Know what needs changing before you commit to a rebuild

Send us the address of your current site. We will tell you which of the thirteen categories it touches, what we would change and what it would cost, before you commit to anything.
