All prices are final, no GST is added. Builds take one to six weeks.

Why isn't your WordPress website generating enquiries?

Most visitors decide in seconds whether your business looks worth contacting. Slow pages, vague service descriptions and a buried phone number cost trust before anyone reads a word of your carefully written copy. And because prospects usually compare a few businesses at once, the website that answers fastest tends to win the enquiry.

We rebuild sites for businesses that have outgrown a basic template. The fix is rarely a better-looking page. It is usually that the site never made plain what you do, who it is for and what happens next, and no amount of design covers that gap.

The result is a website that earns its keep: tighter service pages, stronger trust signals, a cleaner contact path, a solid SEO base and a backend your team can actually manage after launch.

WordPress website examples: 4 Australian case studies

We design WordPress websites around the job they need to do: explain the offer clearly, build trust and make the next step easy. Here are four recent projects and the thinking behind them.

Sydney Air & Solar commercial solar page shown on a laptop

Sydney Air & Solar

In solar and battery, most enquiries start with a Google search and end with a quote request, so the website has to build trust fast and make that quote path obvious. We rebuilt the site around six service lines, so visitors can tell solar, battery, EV charging and repairs apart at a glance, and each one leads straight to a call or quote request. The rebuild took a month. The site now holds page-one positions for 13 commercial Sydney solar searches, four of them at number one (Semrush, checked 29 July 2026). Read the full Sydney Air & Solar case study.

Purpose Bureau ESG platform website shown on two tablets

Purpose Bureau

ESG intelligence is a genuinely sophisticated offer, and the risk was a site so technical it would lose the prospects it most needed to convince. Rather than simplifying the substance, we focused on how it was explained. Built in a month, the site splits two product platforms into separate buyer journeys and runs on a modular page system the client’s marketing team uses without calling a developer. Read the full Purpose Bureau case study.

Balkan Automotive website shown on three phones

Balkan Auto

For a local mechanic, trust gets decided in seconds. Can a visitor tell what you do, where you are and how to reach you before they bounce? Most people searching for this help are standing next to a car that will not start, so we rebuilt the site in fourteen days, giving each of eight services its own page and putting a phone call one tap away on mobile. Read the full Balkan Automotive case study.

Smart Call Systems landing page shown on two phones

Smart Call Systems

An AI receptionist for Australian service businesses is a product the market has not met yet, so the page had to answer one question before anything else worked: are missed calls costing you money. We designed and built it in seven days, around a single conversion, the discovery call. Read the full Smart Call Systems case study.

Who needs a custom WordPress website?

A custom WordPress build makes sense when your website has a real job to do and a template is getting in the way. If the site only needs to exist, a cheap theme will do. If it needs to explain your offer, build trust and bring in enquiries, the structure has to be planned around your business. Not around someone else’s demo content.

We mostly build for four kinds of businesses:

Service businesses

that need to explain what they do without jargon and make it simple to call, book or enquire

Local businesses

that need stronger service pages and better local search foundations

Growing businesses

whose current site no longer fits and needs room for new pages and functionality

Businesses planning a redesign

that want better usability, messaging and speed without starting from scratch

Industries we build WordPress sites for

Some industries come with rules, forms and buyer questions that a general web designer meets for the first time on your project. In four of them we have already done that work, and each has its own page with the specifics.

If your industry is not on that list, it changes less than you would think. The build is the same. What changes is how much we need to learn about your buyer before we plan the pages, and that happens in the first conversation either way.

Dental practices

new patient enquiries, treatment pages, and the checks a clinic site has to pass before it goes live

Childcare centres

the tour booking, the fees page that keeps going out of date, and what actually moves occupancy

NDIS providers

accessibility tested by hand, what an auditor sees on your site, and a page for every support you deliver

Tradies

quote requests, service areas, and the split between what your website does and what your Google listing does

What's included in a WordPress website design package?

Our WordPress development services cover planning, design, build, launch and handover. The result has to be useful after launch, not just attractive in a mock-up. Here is what that covers in practice.

01

Structure and page planning

Before design starts, we work out what the site needs to explain and how visitors should move through it. We plan the page layout, content flow, CTA placement, menu logic and enquiry path. Every page gets a job before the visual design begins. That is why the later stages move faster and cost less in revisions.

02

Custom WordPress design

Our design team shapes the site around your brand, your offer and what each page needs to achieve. That covers layout, contact and trust sections, responsive design and reusable content blocks. Some pages need a more specific layout when your services do not fit a standard template. The aim is always a site that feels credible, is easy to navigate and will not make future changes harder than they need to be.

03

WordPress development

Once the design direction is approved, we build the features the project needs. That runs from theme and plugin setup to enquiry forms, booking tools, CRM connections and basic tracking. We keep the build practical and avoid loading the site with tools that make it harder to manage later.

04

SEO-ready foundations

SEO works better when the website is built with it in mind from the start. We set up search-friendly headings, internal linking, fast loading foundations and editable metadata before launch. That gives your site a stronger base for the content and optimisation work that comes after.

Not sure which of these your project needs?

The four stages above run on every build. What comes below depends on your business: how enquiries reach you, whether you sell online, how much we set up before launch. Tell us what the site has to do and we will say which parts apply and what they add to the price.
05

Forms, bookings and integrations

Most businesses need more than a basic contact page. We set up contact and quote forms, booking tools, calendar connections and email notifications, shaped around how your enquiries actually come in. Common connections are Stripe for payments, Xero for invoicing, Calendly or Google Calendar for bookings, and Mailchimp or HubSpot for the list. If you run something else, tell us at scoping and we will check it before quoting rather than after.

06

WooCommerce setup

If you need to sell online, WordPress extends with WooCommerce. We set up products, categories, payments, shipping and a clean cart and checkout, so customers can move from interest to purchase with less friction. Your team can manage the store without a developer on call.

07

Launch, handover and support

Before launch, we run pre-launch checks, mobile and browser testing, form testing and speed checks, so the website works properly from day one. After launch, you get login handover, editing guidance and bug-fix support for the period in your package.

08

Our web design process, in order

The stages above run in that order, and the timeline in each package assumes it. What moves a project faster is rarely design. It is having the content ready, and if yours is not, we help you structure it as part of the build.

How much does a WordPress website cost in Australia?

Most agencies make you fill in a form to find out. We publish our prices, because comparing quotes without numbers wastes everyone’s time.

Our WordPress websites run from $1,200 for a five-page business site to $3,400 for a larger build with ecommerce and more features. Industry guides put a comparable five-page site at $1,800–$3,500. So it is fair to ask why ours start lower. The answer is in how we work: small team, defined scope, no account management layers. The build quality is where we compete; the overhead is where we cut.

All prices are in AUD. No GST is added.

Credible, or found on Google?

The type of website you need follows from one question: does it have to support the business, or help the business get found? A site that only has to look credible and take enquiries can stay small. A site that has to bring customers in from Google needs more depth, which means service pages, internal linking and room for content to grow.

Beyond the packages: custom WordPress builds

Some projects do not fit a package, and pretending they do is how budgets blow out. Booking systems, member areas, quoting tools or a WooCommerce store with specific workflows need proper scoping before anyone names a number.

Custom website builds at Web Ways Tech start from $5,500 and depend on features, integrations and content volume. The process starts with a scoping conversation, not a template: what the system needs to do, who uses it and what it connects to. You get a fixed quote before the build starts, so the number you agree to is the number you pay.

If you are not sure whether your project is a package or a custom build, tell us what it needs to do. We will give you a straight answer, including when a simpler setup will do the job.

What happens if we get it wrong

Three things, all of them checkable rather than promised.

We pay for running late

Projects are billed half at the start and half at launch. If we miss the agreed launch date for our own reasons, that final half drops by 10 per cent for every week we are late. The clock starts the day your content and logins arrive, and it stops while we are waiting on you.

The scope is fixed before the work starts

Page count, review rounds and the support window are agreed and written down at the numbers in your package. Nothing inside that scope turns into an invoice later.

We do not promise rankings or lead numbers

A website can make your services easier to understand and your contact points easier to find. Anyone guaranteeing positions is selling something a website alone cannot deliver.

Ask how this applies to your build

The dates, the page count and the support window are different on every project, and all three of the above only mean something once your numbers are in them. Ask before you commit, not after the first invoice.

What you own after launch

A surprising number of businesses discover, usually at the worst moment, that their website actually belongs to their agency. The domain is registered in someone else’s name, the hosting is a black box and the admin access never arrived.

We hand over properly. You get full WordPress admin access, all logins, and editing guidance so your team can manage content without calling us for every small change. The content, design and site itself are yours. Domain and hosting stay registered in your name, so if you ever leave, you take everything with you.

Planning a redesign: fix or rebuild?

Not every underperforming website needs to be thrown away, and a redesign quote should tell you which situation you are in.

01

When a rebuild is right, and when a fix is enough

As a rule of thumb: a rebuild makes sense when the structure is wrong at the root. The pages do not match how customers buy, the theme fights every change, or the site is slow in ways no plugin fixes. A fix makes sense when the bones are good but the presentation is stale: the messaging needs sharpening, key pages need redesigning or the enquiry path needs shortening.

02

We say which one before you pay for either

We review your current site and tell you honestly which one you need, including when the cheaper option is the right option. Our website redesign service covers both paths in detail.

Why work with our WordPress web design agency

Plenty of web design agencies talk about themselves: their passion, their experience, their process. None of that tells you whether the website will actually do its job.

Our web designers focus on what the site needs to achieve for your business. That means clearer messaging, a layout that gives you a real base for SEO, and a path that helps visitors become enquiries. Every decision on the build, from page layout to features, gets checked against that outcome.

Our packages also start lower than most Sydney agencies, and that deserves a straight explanation. We are a small team of four specialists working to defined scopes. You deal directly with the people building your site. You are not paying for account managers, sales layers or open-ended project hours.

Web Ways Tech is led by Vasilii Aldukhov, founder and developer, who has been building websites for ten years, working alongside specialists in design, security and SEO. You can meet the whole team on our About page.

Web Ways Tech built our WordPress site and made the whole thing painless. Easy to deal with, quick with feedback, and they explained things in plain English rather than tech speak. The site looks sharp, works properly on a phone, and it's simple enough for us to manage day to day. Really pleased with how it came out.

Excellent specialist, I recommend him!
Vasiliy built an amazing e-commerce website for us, and we couldn’t be happier! The site is fast, user-friendly, and optimized for both desktop and mobile users. I’m incredibly grateful to Vaso for the amazing work he did on my web application! From the very beginning, he took the time to understand my needs and turned my ideas into a beautifully designed, easy-to-use app. Vaso’s dedication, attention to detail, and passion for what he does really stand out. He kept me updated throughout the entire process, explained everything in simple terms, and was always ready to make adjustments when needed. If you’re looking for someone who truly knows what they’re doing in web application development, Vaso is the person to trust. Highly recommend him!
I turned to this web studio to develop my own website for my company. To be honest, I didn't exactly know what result I wanted in the end.
However, thanks to Vasilii, an amazing design was created that perfectly conveyed the concept of my company. The communication with the web studio was prompt, polite, and responsive, and the staff worked hard. The layouts for the designs and finished website were completed on time! I would also like to mention the convenience of using the new site, as various functions were added that I hadn't even known about!

Many thanks to this company for their high-quality work.

Why choose WordPress for your business website?

The WordPress CMS runs over 40% of all websites, and that matters for one practical reason. You are never locked into a single developer, plugin vendor or hosting company to keep your site alive.

It also grows with you. Start with the pages you need now, then add service pages, blog content, product pages or new functionality as the business changes, instead of rebuilding from scratch. Your team can update key content without calling a developer for every small edit, because we build with backend usability in mind.

For search, a well-built WordPress site supports clean navigation, editable metadata and the content structure that Google’s own SEO guidance recommends.

WordPress web design and development FAQs

Both, depending on the project. A WordPress theme is often the practical option for simpler sites. For more flexibility and a cleaner user journey, a custom build from an experienced WordPress developer tends to be the stronger long-term choice.

Our packages start from $1,200. Above that, the figure moves with the number of pages, the level of customisation, how much content we write, and added features such as WooCommerce, bookings or custom development.

Ongoing SEO campaigns, paid advertising, photography and video, logo and brand identity work, and content for pages beyond the agreed page count. Hosting and domain fees are billed by your provider, not by us. If your project needs any of these, we say so during scoping rather than after launch.

Yes. Whether that means a redesign or a clean rebuild is the first thing we work out, and the section above sets out how we decide between them.

Yes, as part of a WordPress build. If selling online is the main purpose of the site rather than an addition to it, our ecommerce development service is the better starting point.

Yes, in the sense that the foundations are in place at launch: headings, internal links, editable metadata and load speed. Rankings themselves come from content and links over time, so ongoing SEO work may still be needed depending on your goals and competition.

Yes, and from the Business package up we write it. You give us one call about how the business works, we draft the pages, you review and correct. On the Launch package you supply the text and we structure, edit and place it.

WordPress can be secure when it is set up and maintained properly. We use trusted plugins and sensible settings, but ongoing updates and monitoring matter just as much after launch.

Yes. We offer web hosting guidance and optional support to keep your website current after launch, covering website updates, backups, bug fixes and content changes, depending on the support scope you choose.

Yes, where it makes sense. We review your current website and recommend a redesign, a full WordPress build or a straightforward migration. It depends on the existing setup, content and SEO considerations.

No. We are a Sydney-based web design agency, but we work with businesses across Australia, and the whole process can be handled remotely where needed.

The team you speak to. Web Ways Tech is four specialists covering development, design, security and SEO, and your project is not passed to subcontractors you never meet.
